Religious Education
We believe that the teaching of Religious Education enhances pupils spiritual, social, cultural and emotional development as it allows pupils to explores the views, beliefs and practices of people around the world and provides a space for pupils to ask big life questions and reflect on their own understanding and experiences. The teaching of RE also promotes pupils’ understanding of British Values thus preparing them for life in modern Britain.
Our RE Curriculum is based on the Merton RE Syllabus. RE lessons are delivered weekly and where possible we engage with the wider community to make the learning experience practical through visits and school workshops.
