Overview
Whatley Campus is a specialist SEN school in a leafy corner of Raynes Park, London. We opened in September 2022 and we were judged as GOOD by Ofsted less than two years later. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant, for our Wandle class to work with students with Autism and MLD, who is ambitious in creating a learning culture in which our pupils will feel valued and safe. This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to work within a dedicated and successful team and positively impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in Merton through our trauma-informed approach.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:
-
Working as a Teaching Assistant supporting learning and behaviour in lessons and unstructured times, fulfilling all duties as required by SLT

Enable access to learning for pupils
-
Assist the teacher in the preparation of resources and the management of pupils and the classroom

Supervise external/internal examinations
-
Work with pupils 1-1 or in small groups with regard to SEN needs, behaviour and learning

To keep abreast of and share up-to-date theoretical knowledge and application in SEN to ensure pupils’ specific needs are met
Salary & Benefits
Annual Salary: FTE £29,436, actual (pro rata) £25,598
Working hours: (39 weeks a year – 35 hours per week) Full Time, Permanent
